You are here: Pot Magnets

A pot magnet is usually assembled from NdFeB magnet and steel pot. The steel pot increases the adhesive force of the magnet on direct contact with a ferromagnetic surface, e.g. iron surface. If there is no direct contact with the counterpart, or if the steel plate is thin, painted or rough, the pull force is much less. The indicated adhesive force was measured perpendicular to the surface to which the magnet should stick.

There are many applications for NdFeB pot magnets, mainly in applications where a strong clamping force is required. Applications include point of sale, window dressing, door/cupboard and gate clamps, false ceiling clamps, signs and banners, torque limited seals, lighting holders, etc..

We are able to supply small pot magnets with a diameter of 10mm as well as large ones with 75mm. The latter can hold a maximum weight of 160 kg when used on the ceiling.
